Why I built it
From vision board sceptic to builder.
I used to be a vision board sceptic. Magazine clippings on a corkboard felt like arts and crafts, not a serious tool for the life I wanted. The boards never looked like me, so I stopped looking at them.
Then I read about mental imagery. Imagining something engages many of the same brain areas as seeing it for real (Kosslyn et al., 2001), and vivid, personal images tend to stick with us (Pearson et al., 2015). A stranger on a beach is easy to scroll past. A realistic picture of you is not.

So I built the thing I wanted: write what you want from next year, add one selfie, and get back photos of you living it — nine of them, on one board you’ll actually want to keep on your wall and your phone.
